FORMAT 02 the sales-floor guest spot
A hat bar pop-in for your store
Launch nights, VIP hours, grand openings, brand collabs. A compact bar lands on your sales floor for an evening and gives shoppers something to watch, wait for, and wear out the door.
Why retail teams book it
Retail traffic problems are rarely about getting people in the door — they’re about giving people a reason to stay. A live customization bar changes the math: a shopper who commits to a cap-and-patch build is on your floor for another ten to twenty minutes, near your product, in a good mood. Store teams tell us the register line and the hat line feed each other all night.
The retail build is deliberately smaller than our office rig — an eight-foot bar that tucks against a wall or window bay without blocking sightlines to merchandise. Load-in happens before open or after close, never during selling hours. Power is a single standard outlet.
Co-branding is the move
The strongest retail patch menus pair marks: your store’s logo alongside the featured brand’s, or a city-specific design shoppers can’t get any other night. Limited patch runs create urgency honestly — when the twenty “launch night” patches are gone, they’re gone. We produce all patch styles in-house through Merch Troop, so a two-brand menu doesn’t mean two vendors.
Booking window: patch production needs two to three weeks, so a pop-in books best three to four weeks out. For recurring programs — first Thursdays, monthly VIP nights — we hold your patch inventory between dates.
